- Scope and ContentI shall be 25 years of age 4th of next February and am the son of Samuel Legge of St Paul, Canterbury, County of Kent, cabinet maker and upholsterer and Mary Ann his wife, formerly Mary Ann March, spinster. On 4th February 1832 I was bound apprentice by Indenture to my father for the term of seven years. I served him under the said Indentures and resided in his house the whole of the said term. At Christmas last I hired a house in Ampthill Street in St John, Bedford of Mr James Small for twelve months at the rent of fourteen pounds which I have been iin the occupation of since that time. I was married the 24th January instant at the parish church of St John to Sarah Francis of St John, spinster.
