    Conveyance (lease & release); lease only is present (1a) William Cooke, Tilsworth, husbandman (1b) Joseph Cooke, brother of William, Eaton Bray, husbandman (2) William Chaddock, Leighton Buzzard by (1) to (2) in consideration of 5s - all that one cottage or tenement now divided into two tenements in the several occupations of [blank] and Thomas Adcock in the High Street, Leighton Buzzard, next the cottage or tenement of Elizabeth Mead, widow (east part) and the cottage or tenement of Thomas Stonniford (west part) and fronting north into the High Street, together with all barns, stables, outhouses, buildings, yards, gardens, orchards, barksides, fronts, freeboards, mounds, fences, ways, casements, gutters, lights, waters, water-courses, profits, commons, commodities, privileges, advantages, hereditaments and appurtenances to the cottage belonging or in any wise appertaining. (2) to have and to hold the said cottage from 1 March instant [1703/4] for one whole year, yielding and paying the rent of one peppercorn at the feast day of St. Michael the Archangel.
