Deed of Apprenticeship of Sydney Arthur Burman, son of Leonard Burman of 7 Pembroke Street, Bedford, cabinet maker, to Walter Watson of De Parys Avenue, Bedford, dental surgeon, for a term of 5 years; L. Burman covenanting to provide sufficient meat, drink, washing, lodging, clothing, medical advice and attentions during the term. Weekly wages 3s. 6d. during the first year to increase to £1 10s. in the final year. Endorsement signed by W. Watson and dated 20 November 1931 noting the conditions of the indenture have been fulfilled. Mr Burman left W. Watson's employ in 1931 and went on to work for Cyril Ingrouille of 16 De Parys Avenue, from 1932-c1986; retiring at 75 years old.
