I am about 22 years of age, was born as I have been informed and believe at St Neots owhere my father resides, he is a settled inhabitant of that parish having for many years occupied a house and land there of a yearly rent greatly exceeding £10 per annum. I have worked for him and lived with him at St Neots as a member of his family up to yesterday when I was married at the old Meeting House St Neots to Hannah Roff, daughter of Joseph Roff of White Horse Yard, St Paul, Bedford with whom I have received a portion of twenty pounds ferom the Trustees of the Bedford Charity. I have done no act to gain a settlement in my own right.
