Letter [found with X 668/74]: from Michael Heathcote to Mrs Adams, Wymondley Priory. Was surprised to hear that she continues to hold best and most useful parts of the farm and refuses to give them up to the tenants. 'Is this doing as you would be done by? ... you seem to possess a perverse spirit, that will do no right ... you refuse to furnish straw for repairing Thatch ... If you regard your Character in the Neighbourhood do justice as you expect it from others and do not let me hear any more complaints of this sort'.
