Deposition of Elizabeth Haines of Great Barford - Thomas Minney of Great Barford charged with stealing potatoes from Wiliam Robert Jefferies

She is the servant of Mr William Robert Jefferies of Great Barford, farmer. On Wednesday 10 November she saw Minney come across her master's yard into his house. He went out again almost directly and she saw him go into her master's granary. The granary was locked but the key was left in. She saw Minney unlock the door. He came out of the granary about a minute after he went in with 3 large potatoes in his hand. She saw him put the potatoes into his bag. Her master keeps potatoes in the granary. Minney was in her master's service at that time. Minney went out of the yard the regular way towards his house.
