I am about 36 years of age, was born as I have been informed and believe in Inkley, Leicestershire. When 13 years of age I was placed apprentice to Messrs James & Benjamin Cort of Leicester, ironfounders, to serve until I was 21 years of age. I served my full term. I have worked as a journeyman since the period of my apprenticeship and done no act since to my knowledge to gain a settlement. I have worked in Bedford at Messrs Sanders & Williams about 18 months, am living in lodgings, was married on 22nd October instant at St Paul to Jenette Halfhead.
