I am about 46 years of age, was born as I have been informed and believe at Kempston. When about 17 or 18 years of age I was placed apprentice to William Berrill of St Mary for five years, I served the full term and afterwards worked as a journeyman. I worked as a journeyman in this town until 1832 since which I have worked as a Master. I never rented a house at £10 a year until I took the one which I now occupy, was married on 9th October instant at St Mary to Sarah Smith.
