I am about 23 years of age, was born in Ringstead, Northamptonshire. When I was about 13 years of age my father removed to Godmanchester where he rented a house at ten pounds a year and where he continues to reside and carries on the business of a shoemaker. I resided with my father up to June 1835 when I went to work at Buntingford in Hertfordshire as a journeyman shoemaker where I remained about six months. I then worked at Barrington in Cambridgeshire about three months then I came to Bedford and worked as a journeyman shoemaker to Mr Flood of St Paul. I was married on 15th January instant at St Paul to Sarah Huckle.
