- Scope and ContentSoon after the death of my late husband Francis Page in August 1827 I was removed with my two children Joseph and Thomas Page from the parish of Bermondsey in the County of Surrey to Harlington in the County of Bedford by orders of removal. There was no appeal from the order. I only remained two days at Harlington and then returned to Bermondsey with a certificate from the parish of Harlington. I have never since resided at Harlington. After I returned to Bermondsey and whilst residing there I received an allowance of three shillings a week from the parish of Harlington for about two years, when I came to live in St Mary, Bedford. I have lived in that parish to the present time and have received a weekly allowance during the whole time from the parish of Harlington except during the last 12 weeks. A fortnight ago last Friday I received the three shillings from Mr Grammar the Overseer of Harlington. I have done no act to gain any other settlement and am now chargeable to the parish of St Mary, bedford. Remove to Harlington.
