- Scope and ContentOn Thursday August 5 Browning keep to his house with the petition now produced purporting to be the petition of Thomas Ward, stating that he occupied a small farm at Cranfield where he had lost 6 cows by a disease prevalent amongst cattle. He gave him 5d. His name is entered at the foot of the petition as having given 10d which is not true. He would not have given Browning anything if he had not believed his story.
