- Scope and ContentI am about 27 years of age. When I was about 14 I was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of the Harpur Charity to John Dixie of St Neots, County of Huntingdon, blacksmith by Indenture dated 4 April 1820 for seven years. I served three years and a half with him at St Neots when I was assigned over to John Goss of Sandon, County of Hertford, blacksmith, with whom I resided the remainder of my apprenticeship at Sandon. I now rent a house and premises in St Paul from Midsummer Day last at a rent of upwards of ten pounds a year and have paid all parochial and other taxes for the same. I was married at St Paul on the 26th instant to Mary Ann Coulson.
