I am about 22 years of age, was born at Stowmarket in the County of Suffolk where my father then resided but belonged to Stow Upland in the same County, brickmaker. When I was three years of age my father left Stowmarket and went to Great Paxton in Huntingdonshire where we continued nine years. We then came to Bedford and he has worked for Mr Thomas Gwyn Elger as a brickmaker in the said parish of St Paul ever since. My father taught me his trade and I have and do work for Mr Elger as a brickmaker. I was married at St Mary, Bedford on the 17th instant to Mary Franklin.
