    Informal contract to sell to Harvey but now dispute re-alleged misrepresentation as to state of repair of estate buildings. agreement entered into (1) Richard Orlebar of Wellingborough, Northants, Esq (vendor) (2) Richard Huxham Watson of Totnes, Devon, esq, Agent for Robert Harvey (purchaser) if purchase not completed by 25 March, purchaser to pay additional £3,900, giving total deposited £6,000 (returnable if any defect in title) purchaser pay interest on balance of purchase money of £36,000 at 4% but if delayed beyond 1 April, vendor agrees to confirm agreements purchaser has made with intending tenants for up to six years must include covenants re breaking up land, except 1/6th of No 12-24 on Bill of auction dated 22 February 1889 Deed of 27 April 1867 to be root of title (except for Mortgage of £12,500) March 1889 Purchase settled on 7 April 1889 purchaser refusing to pay £69.12s.8d, proportion of rent action seems contrary to Apportionment Act 1870 opinion of Arthur S Mackey of 27 The Close, Exeter supports Orlebar (vendor) over apportioned rents. 27 March 1890
