- Production dateFrom: 1832 To: 1832
- Scope and ContentI am about 27 years of age, was born in St Peter. I was married at that church on 13th August 1827 to my late husband John Bell by whom I have one child now living named Keziah, two years old next December. My husband died on the 7th March 1831 and was buried in the churchyard of the parish. I have often heard him say that his settlement was at the parish of Felmersham, where he was born and brought up by his father who belonged to that parish. His father taught him his trade of a bricklayer and he continued with him there until August 1827 when we married.I do not believe he did any act after that to gain a settlement. I have several times whilst residing in the town applied to the Parish Officers of Felmersham for the last two years and have always received relief.
