- Scope and ContentAt a special session of the Highways, held at the Town Hall in Woburn on 7 February 1851, and continued by adjournment until 10 February. Thomas Swinstead: yeoman of Heath & Reach and one of the townships surveyors of highways. He certifies the correct notices were posted, at the appropriate points and on the door of the chapel. He produced 4 copies of the "Bedfordshire Times" containing the notice. The certifies that the document giving the permission of land owner Elizabeth Knight, was signed in his presence. William Swinstead: was employed by the surveyors to attend to the posting of the notices and verifies this was actioned. James Philip Webster: a gentleman, accustomed to making plans. He has produced a map showing the proposed diversion and agrees that the revised route will be more commodious to the public than the old footpath.
