I am about 19 years of age, was born in St Mary, Bedford where my father Joseph Franklin then resided but belonged to the parish of Northill, he having gained a settlement in that parish by living as a hired servant there. About eight years ago my father Joseph Franklin, my mother Mary Franklin, my brother George then aged about 16, my sister Frances aged about 17, Mary Ann aged about nine years and myself were removed by orders of removal from St Paul to Northill, against which order no appeal was ever made. I have never done any act since, nor has my father, whereby I could gain any other settlement. I am now with child, likely to be born a bastard and chargeable.
