- Date free text8 April 1829
- Production dateFrom: 1829 To: 1829
- Scope and ContentI am 23 years of age, was born in the parish of Goldington where my father John Clifton there resided and belonged. At Michaelmas 1826 I let myself to Mrs Whitworth of the parish of St John, Bedford, widow, for one year at the yearly rwages of six guineas. When I had been there about three quarters of a year I got dissatisfied with my place and left. I have not been to service since that time, nor have I done any act to gain a settlement, and was yesterday married at St Cuthbert to Frances Norman.
