- Scope and ContentThat morning she locked up her house and went into the field to work about 8am. She left a loaf in the parlour on a chair under the window. When she returned home about 12pm she noticed her window was broken. The loaf was missing from the parlour. The wood that kept the window fast had been removed, which could be done by someone putting their hand through the broken window. She found the wood outside in the yard under the window. From something she heard she told Robert Young the policeman that she suspected the three men she described. He said he had met three men with a bundle answering the description.
