    Mary Ann Page for herself saieth that she is with child and John Coles of St Mary, Bedford, coach painter us the father. In the month of March 1815 she was married by Banns at St Paul, Bedford to Thomas Page, plasterer with whom she cohabited about 6 months after her marriage when he ran awaay leaving her chargeable to the said parish of St Paul. She did not see him again until May 1819 when he was apprehended upon a warrant for deserting his family and committed to the house of Correction. She saw him in prison several times until the latter end of June following when he made his escape and she hath not seen or heard of him since and doth not know whether he is now living. James Castleman saieth that in the year 1819 he was Keeper of the House of Correction of Bedford and Thomas Page was delivered to the custody of this deponent on the 14 May 1819 and remained in the custody ofthis deponent in the House of Correction between five and six weeks when he made his escape. This deponent advertised a reward for his apprehension...and made diligent search and inquiry for him but hath not been able to find him.
