- Scope and ContentMary Ball: her son, John, had a watch, chain and keys which were on the mantle piece when she left the house. On her return they had gone. She had seen the prisoner walking very fast before her on that same day. John Ball: He had left the watch in the care of his mother, at their home. William Hills: he apprehended the accused on 7 September at Blunham. He found the watch, the chain and keys on the accused. The accused told him he had had the watch for three months and had bought it from a railway man.
