    Matthew Keepence: worked as a servant for Mr Edwards of Arlesey. On the evening of 24 May the accused came to the door with a plant for the master. He took the accused to the kitchen where he gave him beer in a horn to drink. Another horn was standing in the window. Later the horn from the window was missed. James Johnson: worked as a gamekeeper for Mr Edwards. He met the prisoner on the same evening on his way back from Henlow. The prisoner told him he had picked up a horn on the road and wanted sixpence for it. He said he had been to see Mr Edwards and picked it up near the lodge at Henlow Grange. Crouch said he had asked at the lodge if they had lost one but they had said they had not. Joseph Allison: following from information received, he went to Mr Ibbs house at Shefford and was given the horn by his wife. Mary Roberts: the prisoner came to her house with the horn looking to sel it to her. She originally said no but he told her he had found it and so she bought it for sixpence and have it to her daughter (Mrs Ibbs)
