    About 27 years of age. Born in St paul, Bedford where his father resided and belonged. At the age of 14 he was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of the Harpur Charity to Samuel Allison of Clifton, blacksmith for seven years by Indenture now produced . He lived with his Master in that parish for one half of his apprenticeship when he was assigned over by his Master with the consent of the trustees to Benjamin Brown of Clifton, blacksmith where he served the remainder of his apprenticeship. He has not done any act since to gain a settlement. on 17 may 1822 he was married at St Paul, Bedford to Hannah [Pratt] by whom he has three children Thomas aged 4, James aged two, and a daughter aged 6 months not yet baptised.
