About 50 years of age. About 30 years ago she was married at St Cuthbert, Bedford to Edward Foster a calico and cotton weaver but then a Private in the Derbyshire Regiment of Militia. She continued with her husband about twelve months, he then quitted the Regiment going into Camp but she knows not where and she has never seen him since nor heard from him the last 27 years. About 15 years ago she was told by a person who belonged to the Regiment that her husband was dead. During the time her husband and she lived together she had several times heard him declare he belonged to the parish of Egginton in the County of Derby having been apprenticed there but knows not to whom, and she believes her husband did not serve his time out. She has a daughter by her husband named Catherine, about 29 years of agewho has always lived with her in the parish of St Cuthbert but neither of them had done any act to gain a settlement.
