Depositions of Richard Eve, farmer of Silsoe, William Kinns, labourer and William Sharman, police constable of Silsoe, in the case of William Worker of Silsoe, accused of stealing billet wood

Richard Eve: had a stack of billet wood by his house. William Worker is in his employ. Eve was bought a sack of wood by William Kinns which he said he had taken from William Worker. William Kinns: he was watching the wood stack and saw William Worker and filled a sack. He then challenge Worker and told Eve what he had seen. William Sharman: detained Worker, who said he had spent his money "out on the razz" and had no wood to burn.
