(I) Feoffment of 2 Feb 1779 Parties (i) Sir Gillies Payne, of Tempsford Hall, Lord of the Manor of Tempsford; (ii) Daniel Key of Roxton, labourer; (iii) Edward Billett of Eynesbury [Huntingdonshire], gentleman Operative Part: - (i) enfeoffed (a) to (ii) for £42 Property: (a) cottage and ground in Lambcoat End, Tempsford and containing 1 rood, 14 poles in occupation of Thomas Sabey Habendum: - to (ii) subject to payment of rent of 2d per annum (II) Will of Daniel Key of 30 Jun 1795 devising all real estate to his wife Mary, after her death devising to their son John the cottage he occupied for his life, remainder to his two sons Thomas and John as tenants in common (III) Lease and release of 17-18 Dec 1839 Parties: (i) John Key of Tempsford, tailor (only son of Thomas Key and nephew of John Key), yeoman and Mary, his wife; (ii) William Mobbs of Tempsford, yeoman; (iii) Charles Day of Saint Neots [Huntingdonshire], gentleman (trustee for (ii)) Operative Part: - (i) released (a) to (ii) for £160 Property: (a) cottage in langford End, Tempsford divided into two tenenemts, one of which was the Black Horse Public House occupied by John Key, the other formerly in occupation of Charles Sanders but then unoccupied with garden of one rood at the rear
