- Scope and ContentAbout 25 years of age. Was born at Ipswich in Suffolk. When he was about 14 he was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of the Bluecoat School at Ipswich to Oliver Irons of that place, cabinet maker and upholsterer for seven years by Indenture. He served the whole of his apprenticeship with his Master at Ipswich, In October 1822 he let himself to William Jackson of St Mary, Bedford, upholsterer by the year at the wages of fourteen pounds and board, lodging and washing as Foreman over the uphostering business. He has continued in such service ever since. Was married yesterday at Lidlington to Mary Ann Jefferies.
