- Scope and ContentLast Wednesday night he was coming home from the Brach Mill at about 6pm and saw something lying in Mrs Gregory's field. He went to look and found a sack. He took it to George Barrett's in New Town Street and threw it down in the tap room. William Hawkes opened the sack - it was about half full of oats. The policeman was not at home so he told Taylor the watchman.
