Deposition of Martha Craker, wife of John Craker of Luton, builder - Samuel Gatward charged with felony

She went to chapel yesterday about 5.45. Before she left she fastened all the doors and windows and took the key of the outer door with her. When she came home she found John King in the room who informed her that someone had broken in. She struck a light and went upstairs with John King and found the drawers had been broken open as described by her husband. She missed the watch, the money and her purse.
