- Scope and ContentJoseph Neale: when searching the house found 2 sack of wheat. Jackson said one sack had been gleaned by his wife and the other by her sister in Harrold. He asked Jackson's sister in law if he had had wheat from her and she said no. William Chambers: the wheat appears to be the same as that from George Allen's barn. George Allen: Jackson is his employee at Carlton. On 24 September he was in custody charged with stealing apples which he confessed to. Asked about the wheat Jackson said he would say nothing and that way would tell no lies. He identifies the wheat as his own.
