- Scope and ContentWiliam Mardle: was ploughing a field by Gallow Lane in Luton and had a piece of bread wrapped in round frock. Which he laid by a hedge with a bundle of hay on top. He later found them gone. John Neal: a man came up to his stall with a round frock which he offered to sell to him for a shilling. He said he had 3 frocks he wanted to dispose of. He bought the one offered to him. John Millard later approached him and asked if he had bought a coat, he said no but he had bought a frock, but the man looked too honest to have bought it. John Millard: obtained the frock from John Neal and it was identified by William Mardle.
