- Scope and ContentWilliam Spencer: was drinking at the Swan in Sharnbrook with the accused. he accused order a beer, but could only pay a penny, so Spencer bought him some food. They left together. Spenser was sober. he went to his garden and feel asleep. On waking he missed the crown and 2 shillings he had had in his waistcoat pocket. He charged the accused, who denied it. The crown had a hole in the rear of it. Elizabeth Bird: sister to William Spencer. She saw Prentice leaving the garden saying he was unable to find her brother. She went into the garden and saw her brother asleep. He accused her of taking his money, which she denied. She told him she had seen Prentice in the garden and went with her brother to find him. Mary Barrick: he received 5 shilling piece from prentice and given him change Ann Stonebanks: received a 5 shilling piece from Mary Barrick which had a hole in the rear.
