- Scope and ContentJames Webb: nephew of Thomas Webb, who he describes as blind, deaf and almost bed ridden. His statement has been crossed out. Vincent Doggett, police constable: found the accused in the New Inn. He asked him where his boots had come from and he replied old Tom Webb. Mary Wittamore: lives in the same house as Thomas Webb. She saw John Hollett come into the house, she asked what he was doing and he said he was taking a pair of boots. Ruth Webb: can recognize the boots as those of Thomas Webb
