- Scope and ContentThomas Dawson: master of the Ampthill Union Workhouse. John Goodwin was an inmate. Dawson found some of the paupers without their proper clothing. On asking, a pauper, John Lineham, said he'd seen John Goodwin taking them. William Hillyard: on charging John Goodwin, he asked what he had done with the items. Goodwin told him he had sold them at St Albans.
