Papers regarding the sale of Fairhill Brickworks by the Executors of the late Reverend W.P. Beckett, which caused a legal dispute with the Bedford Corporation. The Corporation intended to purchase the land to protect Bedford's water supply from being polluted, as two wells supplying the town were sited on the adjoining property. J.R.
