- Scope and ContentHer son John Stanley was born at Wellingborough, County of Northampton 20 years ago next April. Her husband Thomas Stanley was then a private soldier in the Northamptonshire Militia. About two years afterwards they removed to Finedon, County of Northampton where her husband being ill was sworn to his settlement at Kettering. They were not removed but received relief from the parish officers of Kettering until Thomas Stanley died. She then came to live in St Peter, Bedford and continued to receive relief from Kettering for her son until he was about eight. She was married to Thomas Stanley about 21 years since and to her husband John Harpur about 8 years ago in St Peter, Bedford. The latter has been dead about five years.
