    On 18 July 1818 she was married to her late husband Thomas Whittamore. He died on the 18 June 1822 at St Cuthbert. Her husband was born in St Paul, Bedford and never gained any settlement in his own right. He was never in service for a year or apprenticed. At about the age of 17 he enlisted as a Private in the Bedfordshire Militia from which he entered into the 40th Regiment of Foot. Obtained his discharge in 1815. His father William Whittamore belonged to Ickleford, County of Hertford having gained his settlement by hiring and service. His mother Mary Whittamore died on 27 Oct 1821 at St Cuthbert, Bedford and received relief from Icklford from the time of her husbands death in 1811 at a rate of about 3/6 per week to the time of her own death and an allowance was made by the parish towards the funeral. This Examinant has one child John aged about 10 months.
