- Scope and ContentAbout 27 years of age. Born in St Paul, Bedford where his father resided and belonged. On 4 July 1808 placed out apprentice by the Harpur’s Chrity to Ambrose Sinfield of Kempston, tailor. For seven years. Served about 5 years with his Master when they disagreeing parted by consent before Rev. Dr Hunt and his Master gave him his Indentures. He then enlisted in the Bedfordshire Militia. He has several times been relieved by the parish officers of Kempston. Married at St Mary, Bedford four years ago next Michaelmas to Sarah by whom he has one child, Eliza about 2 years of age.
