- TitleDeposition of Fanny Jordan of St Albans, spinster - Thomas Gee charged with stealing plait
- Date free text1 August 1839
- Production dateFrom: 1839 To: 1839
- Scope and ContentLast Saturday Thomas Gee brought a bag into Mr Waller's warehouse at St Albans. She left him at the front door with the bag while she went upstairs. When she came down he asked her for a piece of brown paper to wrap up a parcel and a piece of string - she gave him a piece of pink tape, similar to the tape now produced. She isn't sure whether Gee or his father took the bag out, but thinks the young man took it and put it on the pavement, then took the box to the cart. She thinks the bag was untied before she went upstairs. She did not notice any parcel under his arm when he came into the warehouse.
