- Scope and ContentBorn in Stagsden about 25 years ago. Illgitimate child of Elizabeth Osborn who took him when he was an infant to Borlas in Shropshire where she belonged. His mother having lost the use of her limbs she was relieved by that parish, and he, being about 7 years old, was removed by Order and the overseer brought him to Stagsden who received and maintained him until he was about 16. At Bromham Statute 1813 he let himself to Mr Edward Chapman of Emberton Petsy Manor house near Olney, Bucks for a year as general servant in husbandry at the wages of three pounds. Went into his service Old Michaelmas Day 1813 and quitted on the day after Old Michaelmas day 1814 and received the whole of his wages. He has twice since that time been relieved by the parish of Stagsden . On 12 Aug 1821 he was married at Biddenham to Mary Olliffe.
