- Scope and ContentJohn Hyde of Stotfold, constable - about 10pm William Turner came to his house and informed him he had found some flour in a sack in his garden. He returned with Turner and waited in the pig stye adjoining the garden. Nobody came. About 6am he took the flour into Mr Turner's house and saw him weigh it. He then went in search of William Wand who was a journeyman living in the house of William Turner and found him at the Crown. He asked Wand whether he had taken the flour - he said he had taken it for Joseph Cooper. William Wand - "I took the flour out of the flour-shop and placed it in the garden where my master states he found it".
