Afraid son John would find difficulty in return to Harrow because of “the Run at the Meeting of Parliament”. Joe very late home. Darkest night he remembers. Mr Markham and he dined at Grandpapa’s. Very little shooting. Story of boar getting up storeroom stairs and noise convincing Mrs Harvey that a burglar was there. Rode to Bedford to see Swepsons. Leg quite better. Mother, sister, grandpapa and aunt well.
