- Scope and ContentWilliam Hare - was watching in a field of his master Robert Long at Stondon at 10 to 10.30pm when he saw Harris and another man go into a turnip field where there were some hurdles. The 2 men broke up 3 or 4 hurdles, tied them up and carried them away, with some fold stakes and hedge stakes. Robert Long junior - on the same night he was also watching and saw Harris and the other man break up and carry away the hurdles and stakes. He and Hare followed them, caught up with them in the next field and took the broken hurdles from them. Robert Long senior - confirmed the hurdles and stakes were his property. Samuel Harris - nothing to say.
