25 years of age. Born in City Road, Middlesex. At an early age went to live with friends at 25 Chancery Lane, St Dunston, London which her father John Purton (who was by trade a glover) rented at £25 per annum, where she believes they lived until he died about 11 years since. At the age of 8 years came to reside at Bedford with her Aunt Warren where she has lived ever since and made lace for her support.
