Scope and Content
About 29 years of age, born in Tooley Street, Southwark. Placed out apprentice by his father at the age of thirteen by Indenture which has since been lost to William Harfield of Speenhamland, Speen, Berkshire, shoemaker. Served the whole of his apprenticeship at Speenhamland and worked with his master as a journeyman for sometime after. Married at Wellingborough, Northamptonshire in October 1814 to his wife Sarah by whom he has one child Sarah aged about 19 months.
