- Scope and ContentTheophilius Saville: saw the accused bend down by Stratton's stall, pick up a rabbit and run. He told Stratton. He knew the prisoner before this incident. Alice Stratton: was told by Saville of the incident and the identity of the boy. She could recognize the rabbit due to its shattered head and missing eye. Elizabeth Wren: John Taylor took the rabbit to her home and said he would return for it on his way home. Shortly afterwards the police constable arrived and she handed it over. John Keating: located the prisoner playing dominoes in the tap room of the White Hart public house. He was charged with taking the rabbit, after hesitating he said it was George Wren's.
