  • Scope and Content
Joseph Eaton: discovered a sack of wheat in his unlatched barley barn. He kept watch overnight, but the wheat was not moved. Next morning he covered himself in barley and hid in the barn. Roberts and Fairey came into the barn. He was with John King when the wheat was discovered at the home of Fairey. George Roberts: Fairey had enquired of him about the wheat but they had no further conversation. The following day he was sent along with Fairey to the barn and he discovered Eaton there. John King: on searching the home of Fairey, he discovered 2 bushels of wheat. Fairey said it was wheat gleaned off Eatons farm but had always been kept seperate and was not related to the wheat in the sack, Eaton had found in his barley barn. He asked Fairey's children about the repairs to a mended sack at Fairey's house and they stated they had mended it. The colours and methods matched the sack in Eaton's barn. George Fairey: claimed the what to by his own.
