- Scope and ContentElizabeth Way: a servant of Mr Puddephatt at the Shoulder of Mutton public house. Edward Parrington slept there on the Friday night and on Saturday she found the sheet to be missing. The sheet was identifiable by initals markings. John Millard: found the prisoner at the Swan with two necks public house in Hitchin. Parrington was accused of taking the sheet and he produced it from his pocket, with the initials cut out of it. He confirmed he had cut them out.
