- Scope and ContentThomas Marshall: confirms the Joseph Cooper is his horsekeeper and the horseshoes did belong to his horses Charles Flint: saw Thomas Golding offering horseshoes for sale. He asked Golding where the horseshoes had come from and Golding replied he had been asked to sell them by Joseph Cooper. He later saw Thomas Marshall who confirmed he had not given the horseshoes to Cooper. In custody Cooper confirmed he had taken them, but considered it a priviledge of the job. Thomas Golding: met Cooper on his way home from work and Cooper ask him to sell the horseshoes. He was approached by Charles Flint who asked where they had come from and took them from Golding. Godling saw Cooper later and told him the policeman had the shoes and he had told him they should not have been selling them. Joseph Cooper: Agreed he had taken the horseshoes and given them to Thomas Golding.
