- Scope and ContentSome Sundays ago as it was getting dusk he and John Clark and the prisoner were walking together "up Barford Town" when James Makins confessed that he had set the hay rick on fire. He had not heard of any fire and did not know what was meant. He heard the next day that a hay stack near Blunham mill had been set on fire. He had not heard the prisoner say anything about it since.
